That's me in this picture. It was taken more than two or three years ago. Photograph by Dorothy Corbin McLaughlin.

lol, I love photo`s taken before ditial, soooo sweet and nobody can filter them, when did you get rid of the 3 wheels?, your stirn face is still the same . . l;ol
Ive just noticed how well the lawn is grommed - it reminds me of a wee American fairy tale. When I was a Kid I always dreamt the American dream - is it all its made out to be?
When I was a kid the American dream of a house in the suburbs, a new car, and a yearly family vacation, was far more accessible than it is today. Back then my Dad could supply all of these things on one salary of about $500 per month.
The cost-of-living has priced many Americans out of their dreams, and to those who can achieve it, it takes two incomes. Two incomes requires two cars. Houses are much bigger and cost much more. It's a different time for us all.
However home ownership can happen for those who are determined, smart with their money, and not too greedy about getting the overly-large house. Nothing is quite like having huge equity in a home. It stabilizes the whole life.

I started riding a two wheeler in about 1959.
