The surly cabby refuses to give change in the hopes that he will get a bigger tip. Illustration by Robert McLaughlin, done in Bryce with post work in Photoshop.
I love the perspective on this and the cab is so well done the windows and all! I feel like I could just lift it right out of the picture! Very cool!!!
My husband and I were married in Las Vegas (we are so not Vegas people, but thought it would be silly to get married there) and my parents flew out with us. On the way to one of the shows we took a cab... my Dad was in charge of paying the cab, I heard him tell the cabby "keep the change" What I didn't know is that it actually was change, about 18 cents. As my Dad was exiting the cab the cabby promptly threw the change at us at the door. The dime and three pennies 'tinged' and bounced on the pavement and the cab sped off. I don't think my Dad even knew what the proper etiquette was, he was very embarrassed, of course we teased him to make him feel better. Thanks for posting this so I could remember that funny day.

Nice. Those darn stingy cabbies. That'll teach him to take a cab to a drive thru.

Funny! I like those yellow cabs! I think we have one or two in Quebec City... Hhehehehe! :)

Nice work again! Love the reflections in the paint on the car.
