Photo Friday, Destruction

This home sits across the street from the 17th street floodwall in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. When Hurricane Katrina hit the area, the floodwall was breached and the raging waters tore away a portion of this home. Time seemed at a standstill as I viewed this area 8 months after the flood. Photograph by Robert McLaughlin.

The destrcution that water can do is awesome. The photograph is a wonderful respresenation of this. The stains on the walls where the water levels reached is a spectacular capture.

I feel bad that so many lost so much.

Thanks for sharing!

that is an amazing photo; the touch of faint color says it all
