Yes, it is indeed true. After watching countless episodes of Man vs Wild, and the slightly more tame Survivorman, I worked up the courage to scarf a scorpion. Here are some photos:
The sugar-coated scorpion had the consistency of cardboard with occasional spikey parts.Meal worms were the appetizers. See post below.
