To me it seems like we have all changed a lot. However, a co-worker the other day immediately recognized me in the photo.
Lorene has developed a great set of survival skills with two brothers, and a Dad that thought parenting skills were somewhat akin to being a drill instructor, (Oh how I wish I could do it all over again!). Then it was off to the Air Force, where you either eat or get eaten.
Through all of that, she has maintained a certain sweetness about her--albeit with a survivors' instinct--at least while daddy is around.
