Dapper Dan

Inspired by the movie, "Oh Brother Where Art Thou", I created this version of Dapper Dan's Pomade. Featuring a very dapper, many-years-younger me. Illustration by Robert McLaughlin.

Came here to look at your 'speed' post but got stopped by Dapper Dan. Our whole family likes "O Brother..." as well as its soundtrack. Yes, that's a dapper fellow on the lid.

Good Photoshop skills shown on the 'speed' post. I have to admit I never got into any of the follow-up series. Sorta got burned out during college days when the two local stations played back-to-back reruns of the original two hours a day, five days a week. My roommates and I must've seen every episode five times.

Mr. T

Maybe we were twins, separated at the cabbage patch, yet retaining similar interests, likes and dislikes.

I loved "O Brother", maybe it was just the sirens singing in the river. Nah, really Ethan and Joel Cohen are tops in my estimation. I loved the bluegrass and the gospel singing; loved "Down to the River to Pray"; got a real kick out of ol what'sis name thinking baptism absolved him of his criminal liabilities! And how about the line, "she lovered him up, then changed him into a toad..."?

I've watched the original Star Trek, Star Trek TNG, and DS9, and all of the movies. Never could get into the last two ST shows.

One of my favorite Star Trek movies was "The Undiscovered Country".
