LOL I remember as a child, with grandparents in their 60s, being very disappointed that they just used number candles on their birthday cakes. Happy Silver!

To all of my avid fans, everyone's comments about my birthday are highly appreciated, however this was supposed to be a generic birthday cake for a generic 50 year old. The sorry truth is, on June 27 I will be 53--even more reason to have the fire extinguisher at hand!
Awesome illo...and,look at all of those candles! My husband will be hitting 50 this year...I will have to remember to shut off the smoke detectors.
Anyway...I really love the silvery look...and, the "mixed up" candles! Great job!
I love your funny description of the event. The slightly off balance look of the candles bring home the idea this is not a entirely happily anticipated fiftieth birthday celebration.
