My long-time friend Dennis Jones is curator of the Loveland Center for Art Photography in Loveland, Colorado. Here is a call for entries for "This Is Not A Contest". In exchange for this post I am allowed to call myself the co-curator! Hmmmm, really? Cool!

An Open International Photography Exhibition

An open exhibition of works using the Innovage Mini Digital Camera. The Innovage Mini re-usable camera comes complete with Entry Blank from Jones Photography for only $24.95. Everyone that purchases a Mini Camera from Jones Photography can submit one photographic entry per camera that will be displayed in the OPEN ART SHOW. Everything submitted will be displayed!

The Exhibition opens with a reception party on Saturday, July 21, 6-9 p.m.

Even though “This Is Not A Contest” there will be some gifts for:

• Best of Show
• Honorable Mention
• Various Other Gifts

ENTRY INFORMATION

This exhibit is open to all. Entrants are encouraged to experiment with the camera, digital files, software, printing, multi-media, etc. although not necessary. A Total of two works may be submitted per individual, one for every camera/entry form purchased. All works are eligible. There is no finished size limitation. The only RULE is that the camera purchased is used in making the artwork. An entry form must accompany each work. The entire 1,200 square foot gallery/studio will be utilized for this exposition! Entries need not be matted or framed; however, framed pieces must be “wall-ready.” Work requiring assembly and disassembly is the responsibility of the artist. THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE. Entries subject to digital file verification to verify the camera capture. Jones Photography and LCAP will respect the artist’s sole copyright of works submitted and only right will be to post or publish entries for promotional purposes only.

RECEIVING AND PICK-UP TIME FOR RECEIVING ENTRIES

Thursday and Friday, July 19 & 20, 10 am to 7 pm. All entries must be received by 7 pm, Friday, July 20, POSTAL ENTRIES INCLUDED. Return postage must be pre-paid. Deliver to: Jones Photography/LCAP, 265 East 29th Street, Suite E, Loveland, Colorado 80538. 970-667-7224 Time for pick-up of entries: Show runs until August 10. You may pick up work Saturday, August 11 from 10-2pm or August 18 from 10-2pm.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Although every care will be given works submitted, Jones Photography/LCAP cannot assume responsibility for damage, breakage or loss of work submitted. Artists wishing to insure their works should make private arrangements. If works are for sale, please indicate sale price on the entry form and Loveland Center for Art Photography will retain 60% of the sale price as a commission on any work sold.
