Illustration Friday, Speed

A Photoshop montage of pictures of my toys representing the idea of speed. From the old white Ford, to the bomber, to commander Data on the Starship Enterprise, travelling faster than the speed of light. Photographs and montage made by Robert McLaughlin. May you live long and prosper (Oh yea, Data didn't say that!).

Nobody has commented on this? Whats wrong with everybody?!

I love digital montage work, and this one is a beauty. Very sleek combination of themes on speed and travel. The colors are have a real nice contrast too.

Also, I love your title at the top of your blog, very beautiful.

I have to agree with Brock. This is really well done. I love how you incorporated so many different things from so many different time-frames into one beautiful piece of art. Great job!

Robert, good to know you haven't stopped playing with your toys. It is life's work. :-)

I like it! You used "The Force" well- (oh yea- that's not Star Trek)

I love this! Reminds me of yesterday and tomorrow, happily no reminder of today, speeding by and coming at us fast. Soooo cool!

Was it Mr. Spock who said, "may you live long and prosper"

Hi adoring fans,

Robert here, reporting from the left coast of America. Thanks for all of the kind comments. Some of you I can respond to personally with email. Others just have to check back. All comments are sincerely appreciated.

Brock seems very appreciative of my style, although quite different from his own.

I have to agree with Lou, my art IS beautiful ;>)

To the Couch: I did see some of the William Shatner special on History Channel.

Rrramone is a prolific doodle artist. My wife is my life; my toys are a joy. I like stuffed animals, dolls, action heroes, toy cars, toy airplanes; and real-man toys like cars, cameras, computers, guns, and knives.

Doodler: Ah "the Force", "Providence", "God", "YHWH", my art is inspired. I hope He approves.

Hardwax: It was the venerable Leonard Nimoy, AKA Mr. Spock, who said the phrase "Live long and prosper." I agree wholeheartedly.

My you all live long and prosper.

Hi! I appreciated your comments on my site and came on over to view yours too! I really enjoyed your digital collage. My speedometer was based on a model a's meter...we share some of that nostalgia, I see. :) I need to get busy on my coffee cup design for CPC. I feel like time has been short lately. But, I have finished parent-teacher conferences and a mid-term exam...now on to Spring Break! I enjoy your work...scrolled through your other postings as well...the vintage photos are great!

Thanks for visiting my "speed" entry. Email kind of scares me too, I have to read it over and over to insure I didn't say anything wrong. This is a wonderful representation of "speed". I love the toys you incorporated into your montage as well. Very cool.
